Booking Through Thursday is a meme hosted by the site, Booking Through Thursday.
Basically, it asks you a bookish question on the site, and you answer the question on your blog. So here's the question and our answers! Comment what your answer would be or post it on the site above!
Do you have friends and family to share books with?
Discuss them with? Does it matter to you?
Amanda's answer: Of course I do! Well, first of all, there's Shelbie. I usually text or call her when I'm reading a book and tell her things I do or don't like, ask her questions, etc. And then there's book club. Basically, in book club there are six of us, so I have five different people to talk to about how dreamy a fictional hunk is or how annoying the fictional girl is. And yes, it does matter to me. I love being able to talk to someone who's read the same book I'm reading, so I can get answers right away. Also, I have the blogging community, so there are tons of people to talk with on here. However, one of my favorite things to do is follow authors on twitter, and ask them questions about books. I do that frequently with Cassandra Clare and she's very interactive.
Shelbie's Answer: I feel like Amanda and my answer are going to very similar. I love talking to Amanda about books, we'll talk about the plot or how so and so's character is totally swoon worthy or that we hate that this happened or we think that is dumb, I also love our book club, because sometimes we have the same opinion and sometimes its WAY different, and it's cool seeing everyone's opinion on something, even if it's different from yours. I love sharing books with my mom, because we always pick different people to like in books, and I like "making fun" of her about that. I also love our blog community! It's a great way to get opinions and get questions answered about books, etc. I think it's really important to dicuss books with people because it'll give you a connection with them, even if your not great friends with the person I know that sharing books has brought me closer to people, because now we have a common topic to talk about!
